R400m for new SA satellite

South African Sumbandila satellite developed problems after its on-board computer was damaged by solar radiation. This satellite has been in space for two years.

The SA National Space Agency (SANSA) is busy with plans to develop a new satellite locally with an estimated cost of R400m ($49.44m)

South Africa wants to catch up with other South African countries like Nigeria that currently has two satellites. We will keep an eye on this one.
